Nice location, room was ok

No one spoke English at all, nor Spanish or French. I ordered a taxi at 4am to get to the airport, it arrived at 4.45am and I nearly missed my flight.It is not close to the airport.

Proximity to beach.

Not enough information about other things to do in the area. Breakfast was fair, but could be improved. Also should consider providing food/room service since there are no restaurants near the pousada.

Easy walking distance from a very nice beach. Very helpful staff. The area is very peaceful and quiet. The staff were very helpful. We had a wonderful stay.

No shops/restaurants nearby. Only a problem if you are on foot. There is a shopping are with lots of bars/restaurants about 15 minutes walking distance.

I like the location, it's very near the beach. And it is within bus route.

Pousada La Siciliana is great value for money. For a low price, we had an amazing room with beautiful shower, air conditioning, wifi and a balcony and hammock with a seaview...not to mention breakfast included, a swimming pool, and just 1 block away from the gorgeous Flamengo Beach!!

Originally we booked this hotel because we thought it was much closer to the airport, and we had a very early morning flight, but in fact, it's not that close. Closer than Pelhourino, but still not that close because of the way the roads are designed. However, we wish we'd had time to stay longer at the hotel, because it was so comfortable and close to the beach!!

Some of the steps up to the second floor were uneven in height and it was a bit challenging to not trip.

I've stayed here a few times, and always return because it is so close to a gorgeous wide sandy beach and serves good breakfasts with Bahian cake and fresh juices. Rooms have a balcony and air con, plus there is a small outdoor pool. To me it has a nice safe, quiet and friendly feel.

The area is quite far from the main Salvador sights, but it's perfect for some time out by the beach.

Transfer offered to go to the airport is way more expensive than booking a taxi.

Several things: A. Friendliness and welcoming owner/manager and staff B. Proximity to a good beach (Praia do Flamengo) C. Breakfast and dinner -- with one slight exception D. Quiet, unlike another place we stayed in Salvador E. Fact that the owner is Italian (I'm a near-native speaker and interpreter) G. The B&B has its own driver, which made it easy to get to the airport upon departure

A. No real markets in the neighborhood, but not the fault of the pousada B. Part of one dinner: the sauce used on the pasta was not good, surprising for a place run by an Italian. It seemed as though it came from a can or jar. My recommendation: avoid the pasta and stick with the Brazilian dishes -- of course that is my overall advice of Brazil anyway (my wife is from Bahia). C. Because the pousada is a little out of the way, it was difficult to find at first: bus driver didn't know it nor even recognize the name of the street D. Door to room could have used some tightening, though it was fully functional and the lock seemed secure F. Pool was ok, but quite small

The hotel is nice, clean and the prices are more os less fine.

(1) The reception personal are not well prepared to receive Brazilian and even less foreigners. (2) We reserved 4 rooms from which two of them should have two beds and they had only two rooms with a single double bed (and no possibility to provide an additional bed). Probably other people without reservation took the rooms we had reserved. (3) The Hotel charged my credit card before we come what was not according to the reservation conditions. (4) The localization is far away from everything. No restaurant, no commerce, nothing. It was 9h p.m. and no taxi wanted to pick us up to a restaurant. There is a guy that provides (5) Internet worked only in the reception since the signal was too faint in the rooms.
